This game was a prototype for a segment of a bigger idea, where players would be put in this prison simulator in VR. The player would go through the daily life of a prisoner, keeping out of the guard's hair, building up reputation with fellow inmates, and inevitably finding crazy ways to escape the prison. 

This little segment was a quick way to try and showcase the idea of inmate interactions and how players would have to avoid the guards. At first the idea was just to create a sort of escape room where the player would have to solve puzzles to escape this prison cell. It worked out and it was a nice little idea, but I felt it was bland. So I thought what if we had a guard who constantly patrols, and immediately this idea became much more entertaining. It almost had a horror element where at any moment the guard could catch you in the act causing you to lose. The sound design was incredibly important here not only to tell players that the guard is coming, but also to be loud and imposing to give players this sense of fear and urgency. I was really happy with how the guard came out, they added so much more to the game.
